Join us exploring movement material for our next touring production ‘Mana’, with visiting high-profile choreographer Vincent Mantsoe. This 3 day intensive will give dancers an insight into the artistic practice of Mantsoe: an internationally acclaimed artist who is known for his unique Afro-fusion style of contemporary dance. Originally trained at Johannesburg’s Moving Into Dance, Mantsoe is now based in France with his own company Association Noa, where he works with a diverse mixture of dancers from different backgrounds. Mantsoe’s work places emphasis on spiritual qualities and is informed by dance styles as diverse as traditional African movement, modern, ballet and Asian forms such as Tai Chi, Martial Arts and Balinese dance, with a focus on the power of movement itself.
The residency is priced at £75 per dancer. Dancers should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience and be able to attend all 3 days of the residency.
