Professional & Community Classes

Professional Classes

ACE dance and music offers professional dancers and students in their final year of vocational training the opportunity to attend our morning classes with the Company Dancers.

ACE dance and music are also steering group members for ‘Brum Pro Class’. Brum Pro Class responds to the ambition of the city’s dance sector to make possible a regular and consistent offer of classes for dance artists and practitioners in the West Midlands: https://brumproclass.org.uk/about-brum-pro-class/

Community Classes

ACE dance and music holds weekly classes for adults to facilitate connections within the community. These classes include African Dance, Soca Fitness, Drumming and open classes for dancers.

At the ACE Studios, we host performances from other companies to help bring in new audiences through accessible works.

Our classes can also be delivered in community settings ensuring there are no barriers to participation. For example, we deliver dance classes for older adults in care homes and independent living spaces.

What we offer:

  • African, Soca and Fitness classes for adults at ACE space or at a desired venue
  • Dance and Wellbeing sessions for Senior Citizens
  • Parent, baby & toddler sessions at Community Venues
  • Youth Centre Dance Classes
  • Intergenerational Community Work
  • Carnival Costume Making
  • African Drumming
