Thabang Motaung

Born and raised in South Africa, Thabang started performing at an early age in a community group which performed plays and different traditional dances. This group also partook in cultural exchanges in different parts of South Africa. He then had his first formal dance training at Moving into Dance Mophatong where he graduated in 2018. He then became a Dance Intern at The Forgotten Angle Theatre Collaborative where he performed and facilitated dance work. He later joined Luthando Arts Academy as a performer where he was involved in several full-length productions, corporate projects and TV adverts. In October 2021 Thabang joined ACE, and has since performed at several events including BBC Dance Passion. Here he has also worked with various internationally acclaimed choreographers such as Douglas Thorpe and Luyanda Sidiya.
