Iona Waite

Iona is a long-standing member of ACE. She began her journey as a young dancer, developing her artistry with ACE Youth before training at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance and the University of Wolverhampton. After completing her training, she danced with the professional company for 9 years, later serving as Rehearsal Director for 3 years.

Now as Associate Director & Deputy Safeguarding lead, Iona works closely with the Artistic Director to realise the creative vision of the organisation. She supports the strategic development of dance in the African Diaspora, leads rehearsals, mentors dancers, oversees studio activity, and collaborates with guest choreographers and technical teams to deliver high-quality national and international tours.
